Circularity & Product Sustainability Manager (m/f/d)

Your exciting field of work:
You will take on a central enabling role between Product Management, Development, Purchasing, Quality, IT and external partners. In this role, you will ensure that requirements relating to sustainable product design, EU regulations, circularity and packaging are systematically integrated into existing and new products. By doing so, you will create the basis for compliance, data quality and a future-ready product portfolio.
- Driving future-oriented work: You will integrate sustainability requirements into product development, standardization and product maintenance processes and anchor product sustainability throughout the entire product lifecycle.
- Creating foundations: You will develop methods, guidelines and evaluation criteria for sustainable products, materials and requirements in the context of circularity and sustainable product design.
- Maintaining an overview: You will coordinate regulatory requirements relating to ESPR, CEAP, PPWR, product design, product data and transparency requirements, conduct fit-gap analyses and derive concrete actions for Product Management and Development.
- Connecting processes: You will take on central coordination of the Digital Product Passport, structure relevant product data points and align with internal and external partners.
- Ensuring quality: You will establish audit-proof processes, governance structures and documentation for product data, material transparency and regulatory requirements.
- Sharing expertise: You will raise awareness among Product Management and Development teams for sustainability, circular economy, ESPR, DPP and sustainable product requirements, and conduct workshops, training sessions and awareness formats.
Your convincing skills:
- Basics: Completed degree in engineering, industrial engineering or a comparable technical field. Knowledge of EU regulations such as ESPR, CSRD, ESRS, CEAP, PPWR or topics related to the Digital Product Passport is an advantage.
- Passion: Experience and strong interest in sustainability, product development, circularity, circular economy, packaging or regulatory topics.
- Communication: You work confidently with various interfaces, bring experience in project and stakeholder management and have very good written and spoken English skills.
- Strengths: Structured and analytical way of working, ability to quickly familiarize yourself with complex topics and experience in project and stakeholder management. Confident use of Confluence and Jira or willingness to quickly learn how to use them.
