Your exciting field of work:

As a Product Definition Engineer, you work at the very point where innovation begins: in direct exchange with semiconductor manufacturers, in laboratories, on evaluation boards and in the initial technical decisions that later shape entire products. You connect people, technology and ideas - and ensure that our solutions make a difference worldwide.
  • Maintain an overview: Continuously monitor technology trends, market requirements and reference design developments and incorporate them into the product definition process in a targeted manner.
  • Acting with confidence: Building and maintaining sustainable relationships with leading IC manufacturers - with transparent communication and reliable technical support.
  • Acting with foresight: Recognizing new integration possibilities for Würth Elektronik components at an early stage, evaluating reference design potential and proactively identifying development requirements.
  • Doing work for the future: Analyzing circuit diagrams, testing evaluation boards and deriving technical findings to effectively support future product developments.
  • Designing the future: Creating technical documentation, presentations and specialist articles that explain our products to the target group and position them innovatively.
  • International networking: Provide regular on-site support to semiconductor manufacturers in Germany and Europe; travel up to 40%, occasionally worldwide.

Your convincing skills:

  • Basics: Completed degree in electrical engineering (B.Sc. required; Dipl.-Ing. or M.Sc. preferred) as well as practical, in-depth knowledge of power electronics and circuit analysis.
  • Knowledge: Sound knowledge of passive components, power supply topologies, measurement technology and reference design methodology - with the ability to reliably evaluate technical requirements and make them usable.
  • Passion: A keen interest in power electronics, modern power topologies and technological development. Enjoy imparting knowledge and actively shaping innovation
  • Willingness to travel: Flexibility for international assignments (30-40%), especially for technical coordination and joint projects.
  • Communication: Confident communication in German and English; other EMEA languages an advantage. Ability to prepare complex technical content in a clear, structured and target group-oriented manner.
  • Strengths: Analytical depth, structured way of working, initiative, reliability and the ability to solve technical challenges in partnership and actively support development processes.
